Heserbele khichidi

Preparation for 2
a) 1 cup of green gram ( soak overnight)
b) ½ cup of jaggery
c) ½ cup of coconut milk
d) ½ tps elaichi powder
e) 4-6 tps of ghee
f) 8-10 Cashew & dry grapes

Cook the soaked green gram in pressure cooker and keep aside .Put the cooked greengram into bowl along with smashed jaggery and coconut milk
Stir it for some time and add elaichi powder
And season it with cashew and dry grapes fried in ghee and garnish it on hot cooked khichidi.Serve it hot

Preparation for 4
2 cup of raw rice
2 red chilies
½ cup of coconut grated
½ chopped onion
Oil and salt
Soak the rice for about 4 to 5 hours
Grind the soaked rice along with onion, red chilies and grated coconut into very fine paste.
Add water to the thick paste to make it watery dosa mix and put salt accordingly.
Heat the thava ( dosa pan) on stove and brush the oil on all over thava and spread the watery dosa mix on the hot thava and close it with lid. Dosa should come in very thin layer.
Note: do not over put the dosa mix on thava, spread it once on all over thava and close it with lid for few seconds and open and serve them hot.
Since dosa is done with chilies it does not require any chutney.(dosa will be spicy) You can serve them along with butter or ghee.

Preparation for 4
1 or 2 bottle gourd
Coconut milk ( 1 full coconut )
½ bowl of jaggery
2-3 elaichi
Dry fruits
2-4 tps of desi ghee

Peal out the bottle gourd and remove the seeds. Cut them into medium size and cook them and keep aside for cooling.
Once it is cool make a fine paste and put the paste into bowl add coconut milk and keep for boil once the bottle gourd color turns into dark add jaggary and elaichi and simmer it for around 5 minutes since the bottle gourd is already cooked .
Deep fry the dry fruit (cashew & dry grapes) in ghee and garnish them on hot payasam.
Hot sorekai payasamis ready to eat.

cooking tips
for easy peal out of boiled tomato add salt to the boiling water.

Preparation for 4
2 boiled eggs
2 cup of boiled rice
1 to 2 tomatoes
2 onion - chopped
1/2 cup of ginger garlic paste
2 green chili
coriander leaves
1 tps of dalchini powder
1/2 tps of pepper powder
1/2 tps of chilli powder
1 tps of garam masala powder
1/2 tps of turmeric powder
salt to taste
1/2 cup of butter and cooking oil.


Take a pan put the oil and little butter add chopped onions, after a while add ginger garlic paste , green chili and fry for a while ,, then do add chopped fresh red tomatoes and fry till it look soft and baked .
Now add dalchini, red chili, garam masala, turmeric, pepper powder one by one with adding the salt also ..
add the cooked rice into it and mix slowly the slice boiled eggs and the butter and finally garnish your egg biryani with coriander leaves

Cooking Tips: add salt to egg boiling water bowl for easy removal of boiled egg shells.

250 gm of Chicken (boneless or with bone is your choice)
2 to 3 nicely chopped onions
2 to 4 spoon of ginger / garlic paste
2 tomatoes (make them thick paste)
2 to 3 spoon of pepper powder
2 to 3 spoon of lemon juice
Turmeric powder ½ table spoon
½ table spoon of Chili powder
Salt to taste
Coriander to garnish

1. Marinate the chicken with salt, turmeric and chili powder and keep aside for ½ hour .
2. In a pan put little oil and fry the chopped onion until brown then add ginger & garlic paste
3. Add the marinate the chicken wait until the chicken is cooked well
4. Add pepper and salt
5 now add tomato paste
6. Finally garnish it with finely chopped with coriander and lemon juice

Strawberry Puch for two


5 to 6 strawberry

2 to 3 cups of condensed milk

4 to 5 spoons of sugar syrup

2 drops of strawberry essense

2 to 4 spoons of crushed dryfruits ( cashew , almonds ,pista, dry graps etc)


1. Cut the strawberry into small pieces or grind them and make a paste.

2. add the condensed milk and sugar syrup in bowl and boil it for a while

3. cool the condensed milk accordingly mix the paste of strawberry and dry fruits

4. Decorate with slice of strawberry according your design


If you want a thick punch do not mix milk or water other wise u can add little milk to have it as milkshake as well

Add sugar according to your taste .
